Nonprofit Workshop: Strategic Frameworks for Nonprofits
An alternative to a more formal strategic planning process, strategic frameworks allow organizations a more flexible approach to planning with the ability to adapt to change.
One of the primary roles of a board is to set the direction for the organization. Having the board and staff working in alignment to advance the organization’s mission is essential. Yet the strategic planning process is often viewed as a laborious task.
This workshop will provide your team of Chair and CEO/ED with a process to create a strategic framework to guide the organization. During the workshop your team will begin interacting around a plan. You will also leave with tools and articles to support your planning process back at your NPO.
Workshop objectives Include:
- Define the benefits of the planning process,
- Clarify differences between the strategic and operational work,
- Provide a process for creating a strategic framework to guide the NPO,
- Enable the NPO team to begin work on a strategic framework,
- Provide tools and articles to support the process,
- Explain the process for NPOs to secure grants to continue the planning process.
