Young Professionals Community Service Fair
This regional Community Service Fair is designed to connect local young professionals with area non-profits who are seeking volunteers and/or board members.
Come get acquainted with non-profit leaders, and see how your skills and passion could benefit the quality of life in our community!
Participating organizations and their mission:
- American Cancer Society: to save lives, celebrate lives and lead the fight for a world without cancer
- Boys and Girls Club of SECT: to ensure that our local youth receive a safe place to learn and grow, relationships with caring, adult professionals, and life-enhancing programs
- Child and Family Agency of SECT: to promote the well-being and development of all children and their families
- Denison Pequotsepos Nature Center: to inspire an understanding of the natural world and ourselves as a part of it - past, present and future.
- Diocese of Norwich: to proclaim the Good News of Jesus Christ by word and action and to nurture the spiritual growth of its members
- Eastern CT Symphony Orchestra: to inspire, educate, and connect our communities through live orchestral music
- Habitat for Humanity: seeking to put God’s love into action by bringing people together to build homes, communities and hope
- High Hopes Therapeutic Riding: to improve the lives of people with disabilities through the benefits of therapeutic horseback riding and equine assisted activities
- Horses Healing Humans: to help people with physical, cognitive, and emotional challenges through Equine-Assisted Activities and Therapy
- Madonna Place: dedicated to strengthening families, promoting health and preventing child abuse and neglect
- New London Main Street: building community through activities and programs that enrich the cultural fabric, enhance historic streetscapes and support the economic base of the city center
- Sails Up 4 Cancer: to provide funding for cancer care, research, education, and prevention through the art and enjoyment of sailing
- Terri Brodeur Breast Cancer Foundation: fighting breast cancer by directing 100% of gross fundraising dollars directly to breast cancer research
- Thames River Family Program: to provide safe housing with support services through permanent housing or a transitional living program
- United Way of SECT: to enhance our community by helping people in need through the responsible use of donations.
