About Us

Studio 33 Art & Frame Gallery is located at 140 Bank Street, New London, CT; next to the Custom House Maritime Museum. A short walk from the city’s railroad, bus and ferry transportation hub. We share a c. 1840 Greek Revival Style building, the home of Franklin Smith, Partner in Perkins and Smith Whaling Firm, with Waterhouse Salon and Spa, on the Historic Waterfront District Heritage Trail. Our gallery is warm and cozy with exposed brick and hardwood floors, and free street parking right outside our door, or park in the newly constructed municipal parking lot.

We are a full service custom picture frame business with work produced on site. We feature the work of local artisans in our gallery with exhibitions of local scenes as well as gift items utilizing locally recovered seaglass and pottery pieces. Pewter ornaments exclusively featuring the whale tail designed for New London. Painted lobster claws, birdhouse gourds, wood boxes and more.
