About Us

The Arc New London County is a grassroots nonprofit organization celebrating over 66 years of service to children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Our mission is to partner with people living with intellectual and developmental disability for EQUAL participation and inclusion in the communities of Southeastern Connecticut. We offer a variety of programs for adults and adolescents and serve approximately 660 people and their families yearly.

In addition to group and individual supported employment services, 14 group residences and Camp Harkness programming, The Arc offers a Day Service program for 50 adults, Individualized Home Supports serving 71 people in their homes, and a Community Life and Advocacy program providing 174 adults opportunities to independently and actively engage in the community in ways that serve personal choices and goals and demonstrate the measurable contributions to the community that each one of us is capable of making.
