About Us

UCP of Eastern Connecticut is a non-profit agency founded in 1949. It was originally founded to provide supports for children with cerebral palsy. Today we offer programs for people with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities of all ages. Our mission is to support their independence and full citizenship through a wide variety of services including: Community-based day programs, Employment, Independent Living, community outreach and advocacy. Additionally, we operate a Technology Lending and Demonstration center to connect people with disabilities to technology that can improve their access to the community and improve their independence.
