After After Dark Continues at MMoA Sept 27

Mystic, CT – Mystic Museum of Art’s (MMoA) family-friendly concert series, Art After Dark continues Tuesday, September 27 from 6pm to 8:30pm, and features Pizzetta pizza, drinks, live art, and live music on the MMoA riverfront patio, weather permitting, and in the galleries showcasing MMoA’s Photo Show 38. This month’s event includes live music by Green tea, live art by Russ Kramer, live balloon art by April Brunelle and is sponsored by the Mudhead Sailing Association.
 
Green Tea is Toby Kniffin (Guitar & Vocals) Jamie Conroy (Guitar), Amie Coffey (Vocals) Michael Chicoria (Keys), Jay Hartley (Drums), Marty Moroney (Bass) and Gino Maiorano (Percussion). Melody lines and groove work in and out with guitar lines and harmonies define the GT’s sound. Musical influences range from the melody and magic of Garcia/Hunter, to the driving rock n roll and melody work of the Allman Brothers.
 
Russ Kramer, is widely regarded to be among the country's leading marine artists. Russ has been the subject of a one-man show at the Museum of Yachting in Newport, Rhode Island, appeared in Wooden Boat, Yachting, and Sail magazines. He is represented by the Maritime Gallery at Mystic Seaport, the J. Russell Jinishian Gallery in Fairfield, CT and the ICON Gallery in Alexandria, VA. April Brunelle has a natural talent for Balloon Art and has twisted for events all over Mystic, CT.
 
Art After Dark is designed to integrate various art forms and showcase MMoA’s role as a hub for creative expression and as a platform for regional artists to show their work. Admission: $15 (non-members); $12 (members); $3 (children 4-12); Children 0-3 are free. Two hour parking validations are included with admission.
