Charter Oak Announces Branch Operations Promotions

Credit Union Promotes Six To Serve Its Growing Branch Network 

Waterford, CT – Charter Oak Federal Credit Union has announced the promotion of six employees on its Branch Operations team to serve its expanding branch network across eastern Connecticut.

“This is a highly talented team of individuals who’ve excelled in our branch operations, so I’m confident that their new responsibilities will help us better serve our growing membership and branches in New London and Windham counties,” said Brian A. Orenstein, Charter Oak’s President and Chief Executive Officer.

Since 2013, Charter Oak has engaged in an aggressive expansion of its branches, opening four new branches in New London and Windham counties as well as extensively remodeling its branch serving the city of Groton. Charter Oak’s network of 16 branches is one of the most convenient and largest branch systems of any financial institution serving eastern Connecticut.

Charter Oak promoted the following six employees:

  • Michael Ballirano was promoted to Branch Officer. Ballirano joined Charter Oak in September 2011 as a Member Service Representative. He was promoted to Branch Supervisor in September 2012 and to Branch Manager in December 2013. He is a graduate of Keene State College in Keene, N.H., with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Management. Ballirano is managing Charter Oak’s newest branch at Mohegan Sun.
  • Yolande Davis was promoted to Branch Manager. She joined Charter Oak in June 2014 as its Call Center Supervisor. She has an Associate’s Degree in Accounting, Economics and Marketing and also holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Eastern Connecticut State University in Willimantic. Davis serves as the Branch Manager of Charter Oak’s Waterford Branch at 3 Boston Post Road.
  • Killian Frazier was promoted to Branch Manager. She began her career with Charter Oak in May 2013 as a Member Service Representative in the Dayville Branch. Frazier was promoted to Head Teller in May 2014, Assistant Branch Manager in September 2015, and Branch Supervisor in December 2015. Frazier is a graduate of Killingly High School and is the Manager of Charter Oak’s Putnam and Willimantic Branches.
  • Andrew Fitch was promoted to Branch Manager. He joined Charter Oak in March 2014 as a Head Teller. He was promoted to Assistant Branch Manager in September 2015 and Branch Supervisor in April 2016. Fitch is a graduate of the University of Connecticut in Storrs with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communication Sciences. He serves as the Manager of Charter Oak’s Chicago Avenue Branch in the city of Groton and the credit union’s Electric Boat Branch in New London.
  • Lyndsey O’Brien was promoted to Branch Supervisor. She started her career as a Teller with Charter Oak in November 2005. She then became a Member Service Representative before moving to Charter Oak’s Training Department in June 2007. She returned to Charter Oak’s Branch Operations team in 2010 to serve as a Teller and then as a Work Leader. This past year, she was promoted to Assistant Branch Manager. O’Brien is a graduate of the University of Connecticut in Storrs with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communication Sciences. O’Brien serves as the Branch Supervisor for the credit union's Montville Branch.
  • Kayla Godin was promoted to Assistant Branch Manager of Charter Oak’s Long Hill Road Branch in Groton. She began her career with Charter Oak as a Teller in December 2013 and then became a Member Service Representative in March 2014. In 2016, Godin was promoted to a Work Leader in Charter Oak’s branch operations. She is a graduate of Keene State College in Keene, N.H., and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications and Sociology.
