Chelsea Groton Bank Brings Back the Beetle

Groton, CT – Chelsea Groton Bank debuted a new and improved version of the iconic Volkswagen Beetle, accompanied by the Chelsea A. Corn mascot and a number of employees and their families, at the Groton Fourth of July Parade. The Beetle will continue to make its rounds at community and volunteer activities, Foundation check presentations, and banking events throughout New London and Hartford counties in the coming months.

“Most people from this area remember the Bank’s Beetles,” said Michael Rauh, President and CEO of Chelsea Groton Bank. “We’re a community bank committed to making life’s special moments attainable for families and businesses for the last 161 years. People remember going to parades and events years ago and seeing the Beetle there. The Bank has stood the test of time, and the car representing us now can say the same.”
