Chelsea Groton Bank Warm Wear Drive to Benefit United Way of Southeastern CT

Groton, CT – Chelsea Groton Bank will run a Warm Wear Drive to benefit the United Way of Southeastern Connecticut at its 14 locations from Nov. 1-18.

The Warm Wear Drive will collect new hats, gloves, socks, scarves and sweatshirts (all sizes) for donation to the United Way. The items will be distributed to organizations that provide assistance to families and individuals in need.

“As the weather gets colder, the needs of the community change,” said Cody A. Elvin, Niantic Customer Service Associate for Chelsea Groton Bank. “This drive allows our employees, our customers and anyone who wants to help to give back to the community in a concrete way that we know will directly help people through the winter.”

To leave items, please look for the decorated donation box at each location — branch employees are being encouraged to make their donation box stand out!

The United Way of Southeastern Connecticut works with 21 organizations throughout New London County that assist families and individuals in need.
