Henry Named Women's Volleyball Assistant Coach

New London, CT The Coast Guard Athletic Department announces the hiring of Allie Henry as the women's volleyball assistant coach for the 2018 season.

Henry joins a team that posted its ninth straight winning season with a record of 16-14 and 5-5 in the NEWMAC and their 17 straight season of a .500 record or better in conference play.

A 2014 graduate of Eastern Connecticut State University, Henry was the setter and only senior for a team which made the Little East Conference Championship for the first time in seven years. Henry, a four-year letter winner, is fifth in program history with a career total of 2,133 assists. 

"We are thrilled to have Allie join our program as we get ready for another great season, said third year head coach Mike Bynon. "Allie brings an incredible work ethic and a strong desire to grow as a coach to the team."

Henry graduated from Eastern Connecticut with her Bachelor of Science degree in Sport Management early in December of 2014.  Additionally, she recently completed her Master of Education in Student Personnel Administration in Higher Education at Springfield College and works at Mitchell as an academic advisor.
