Coast Guard Names New Assistant Sports Information Director

Delaney comes to the Academy after spending the 2017-18 academic year and the Fall of 2018 as an Athletic Communications assistant at Wellesley College.

She graduated from Lasell College in 2017 with a degree in Sport Management and a minor in Sport Communication.

At Lasell, Delaney spent three years working as a game staff member for the athletic department, including a one-year stint as Sports Information intern. During her undergraduate tenure, she also interned with the Bay State Games, serving as the public relations coordinator.

She will assist the with the day to day publicity of the Bears 25 intercollegiate sports and help maintain the department website, while also managing the department's social media accounts and facilitating new forms of new media.

Delaney served as President of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, and was a four-year member of the Lasell College women's lacrosse team. In 2016, she backstopped the Lasers to a Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) championship, and was named to the All-Conference second team in 2017.
