OSHKOSH, Wis. – Sophomore Kaitlyn Mooney finished fourth overall in the 2018 NCAA Cross Country Division III National Championship in Oshkosh, Wis. Mooney crossed the finish line in 21:04 earning All-America honors for the second straight season with a fourth place finish.

Junior Paige Lawler from Washington University won with a time of 20:55, senior Claire Lamb from Otterbein was second in 20:58.7 and senior Annie Rodenfels from Centre was third in 20:58.9

Mooney had another standout year for the Bears. She won the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) championship for the second year in a row, clocking a time of 18:38. She also earned the NEWMAC Cross Country Athlete of the Year award for the 2018 season.

Mooney won the New England Division III Championship for the second year in a row with a 20:43 time. She was also named the 2018 New England Region Athlete of the Year. The win in the New England Division III Championships guaranteed her spot in the 2018 Division III National Championship.

Mooney helped lead the Coast Guard women's cross country team to a successful season. Coast Guard finished in third place at the NEWMAC Championship and finished eighth overall in the New England Division III Championship.
