Comcast to Hire 200 in State This Year

Comcast announced plans Wednesday to hire more than 200 customer service personnel statewide this year.

The company, which has 1,200 employees statewide currently, had added more than 100 people to its Connecticut workforce last year.

The new hires would include customer care representatives, customer care supervisors, and technicians.

"We're thrilled to be growing our workforce in the Nutmeg State," said Michael Parker, senior vice president for Comcast in Connecticut.

The cable giant last year said it would add more than 5,500 new service jobs nationwide over the next few years as a way to boost the experience of customers.
