''Deck the (Stonington) Borough Weekend'' Dec 1 and 2

Stonington  Borough kicks off its annual holiday celebrations the weekend of December 1st and 2nd, beginning with the annual Christmas tree lighting followed by the  Village Stroll.  Come sing, share a cup of cider and help Santa light the tree on Friday, December 1st at 5:30 at Wadawanuck Square.  Then stroll down Water Street to Cannon Square and enjoy complimentary goodies at all the shops along the way and perhaps find the perfect gift for a hard-to-buy-for friend or relative.  As there is no snow, Santa is getting about on his horse drawn wagon.  Folks – young and old -- can hitch a ride through the Borough.

Beginning on November 30th and continuing through December 2nd stop in the Captain Palmer House  (built in 1852-54 for Nathaniel Brown Palmer, noted for discovering Antarctica in 1820) to view an array of Artisan Wreaths and Tabletop Décor as part of the Stonington Historical Society’s “Deck the Walls” silent auction.
