Dime Bank Foundation Donates $5,500 to The Furniture Bank

Norwich, CT – The Dime Bank Foundation recently donated $5,500 to The Furniture Bank in Gales Ferry to help purchase 100 new beds for low-income families in the area who are experiencing financial hardship. This gift was part of the over $200,000 given to local charities and other need-based organizations by the Dime Bank Foundation over the past year.

The Furniture Bank helps people in the community who are referred to them by state and social service agencies, shelters, and churches in New London and Norwich. They accept donations of gently used household furniture and new beds, for distribution to clients in need in Southeastern Connecticut.
