Dime Bank Hosts Annual Meeting, Welcomes New Corporator

Norwich, CT – Dime Bank held its annual corporators meeting on Wednesday, March 18, at Lake of Isles in North Stonington, CT. Nicholas Caplanson, President and Chief Executive Officer of Dime Bank reported that Bank assets finished the year at $756.2 million, demonstrating strong growth year-over-year. Deposits grew by $6.6 million from 2013, ending the year at $530.4 million. The Bank’s capital position continued to strengthen, with capital ending the year at $85.8 million.

Caplanson said, “It has been a very successful year at Dime Bank. Despite the rapidly evolving regulatory burdens placed upon us, as well as our region’s continued struggle to join the rest of the nation in its economic recovery, Dime Bank has managed to grow and maintain stellar capital levels while showing solid bottom line income for the year.”

In addition, Dime Bank elected a new corporator, DeVol Joyner of Frankin, Conn. Joyner is a financial analyst with The Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation and worked there since 1993. He provides financial advising, budgeting, planning and analysis for Tribal Government and Enterprises, and is a gaming analyst for Foxwoods Resort Casino. Joyner completed his undergraduate work at University of Connecticut (UConn) and his graduate studies at New York University (NYU).

A husband and proud father of three boys, he serves as a Norwich Free Academy (NFA) trustee, NFA Foundation board member and a board member for the St. Patrick’s Cathedral School. “We are proud to welcome DeVol to Dime Bank as a corporator and ambassador for our institution.
