The Southeastern Connecticut chapter of SCORE, Mentors to America’s Small Businesses, presents a free Small Business Workshop, “Effective Small Business Time Management.”

Small business owners wear multiple hats and play several roles in running their business. Juggling the demands of tasks and time can be frustrating and stressful. It’s a challenge when you are jumping around your tasks, meetings, running the business and handling interruptions. How do you make the right choices about how to spend your time when there never seem to be enough hours in the day?

In this workshop, SCORE mentor Eric Munro will look at the way we use the hours in a day to become more productive and manage time better. It’s not the number of hours, it’s the use we get out of them. We will uncover several skills that can improve productivity (and perhaps even lower your blood pressure!).

Topics include:

  • Developing a plan and setting goals
  • Prioritizing what must be done, what should be done and what can get done
  • Planning each day
  • Using the right tools
  • Going digital and mobile
  • Taking personal time

Workshop presenter Eric Munro is a product management, sales and marketing executive with experience in high-technology businesses, both domestically and internationally. Prior to retiring, Eric was Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing for a telecommunications equipment manufacturer based in Meriden, Connecticut. His career also includes consulting in business management for a division of DeVry University as well as teaching graduate MBA classes where he provided his expertise on project and strategic management.
