Jennifer Granger Appointed as New President/CEO of UCFS

The Board of Directors of UCFS is pleased to announce the appointment of Jennifer Granger as the new President/CEO of UCFS. In her new role as CEO, Jennifer will lead a staff of over 360 employees at 13 locations in their work to provide care to more than 17,000 individuals throughout Eastern Connecticut. 

“The board conducted an extensive search looking for the best candidate to lead UCFS into its 140th year and beyond,” says Deb Kievits, Board Chair. “Jennifer brings over 20 years of health care experience to UCFS and as the current Chief Operating Office she has demonstrated strong leadership and management skills, led improvements in program performance and championed innovative approaches to meet client needs."

As Chuck Seeman prepares to retire after 20 years of distinguished service to UCFS he stated; “I applaud the Board’s decision to appoint Jen as the next CEO of UCFS. Jen’s background in healthcare and her knowledge of federally qualified health centers will continue to move UCFS forward as we provide health and human services to the residents of Eastern Connecticut.”

Upon accepting her new position Jen stated; “I have been proud to be a part of the UCFS team for the past 4 years as COO, and I am honored and excited to serve this tremendous organization in a new capacity as CEO. Chuck Seeman, the Board of Directors and our dedicated staff have laid the groundwork for UCFS to grow and serve Eastern Connecticut for another 138 years”.
 
Jennifer will transition to her new role on December 1st and will work in tandem with Chuck until his retirement in early January 2016.
