On Saturday, August 20, donate two food items and receive a free regular sub!

What: On Saturday, August 20, Jersey Mike’s Subs in Norwich is hosting a food drive to benefit the United Way’s Gemma E. Moran United Way/Labor Food Center. As a thank you to the community for their participation, donors will receive a free regular sub with a donation of two (2) food items.

In detail: Mohegan Holdings’-owned Jersey Mike’s Subs in Norwich is hosting a food drive from 10:00am to 9:00pm on Saturday, August 20th to benefit the United Way’s Gemma E. Moran United Way/Labor Food Center. Every year, the Food Center distributes the equivalent of 2.4 million meals to more 80 food pantries, shelters, child care centers and community meal sites, which in turn provide food and meals to over 20,000 food-insecure people throughout New London County each month. The Center is in specific need of the following items:  Pasta, Rice, Canned tuna, Peanut butter, Dry cereals and Oatmeal.

As a thank you to the community for helping the Food Center, Jersey Mike’s will offer a free regular sub with a donation of two or more food items.  In addition, Shelly Martinez from WCTY-FM will be onsite from 10:00am to noon broadcasting live on air, with great prize giveaways all day.

Donors must also be a member of the Jersey Mike’s Subs Email Club, which is free to join for ages 13+. Limit one free regular sub per person over age 13. Offer good day of event only, and only at Jersey Mike’s Subs’ Norwich location. Not valid with any other offers. No cash value.
