Lyme Art Association Presents the ''96th Annual Elected Artist Exhibition'' and ''In the Red''

The Lyme Art Association presents the annual showcase of the best new works of art by Elected Artists Members. These artists are professionals of note and significance whose works are known, collected, and exhibited throughout the country, as well as along the Shoreline.

Gallery Manager Jocelyn Zallinger says, "Each year this exhibition fills the gallery with some of the finest representational artwork from living artists that our visitors are likely to see. Our Elected Artists are so accomplished and it is with pride and pleasure that I hang this exhibition."

Jeff Anderson, director of the Florence Griswold Museum, will be juror of selection and awards.

In the Red, celebrating works containing red, a color symbolizing fire, passion, anger and fertility, runs concurrent with the Elected Artist Show, on view May 5 to June 16, 2017.  Also on view in The Art Market is an unjuried show featuring an entirely new collection of affordable works.  All artwork on display is for sale.

Come and meet the artists, enjoy the music and celebrate fine art at the Opening Reception on Friday, May 12th, from 5-7 PM.
