UCFS' Nancy Cowser Appointed to the Population Health Council for the CT State Innovation Model

 
Nancy Cowser, Senior Vice President of Strategy at UCFS has been appointed to the Population Health Council for the Connecticut State Innovation Model (SIM).  The purpose of the Council is to advise on the population health planning initiative by developing strategies to: a) maintain a system of overall population health metrics, b) establish community-based prevention service centers, and c) designate health enhancement communities.
 
As a member of this committee, Nancy will work with other stakeholders in the state to transform the health system with the triple aim of improving health while eliminating disparities, improving healthcare quality and reducing cost.  The committee’s work will encourage consumers to play a central role in managing their health and healthcare.
