NESS Gala Set for Nov 3 in Mystic

New England Science & Sailing Foundation Returns to Haley Mansion for Gala on November 3rd

Mystic, CT – The New England Science & Sailing Foundation (NESS) announces the organization's Annual Benefit Gala to be held on Saturday, November 3, 2018 at the Haley Mansion, at the Inn at Mystic, in Mystic. This year's gala will highlight NESS's award-winning programs as well as honor those who helped NESS serve more than 8,500 students throughout New England in 2017. Funds raised at the gala are used to support NESS's annual fund and provide scholarships to keep NESS inclusive and accessible.

The evening will begin with cocktails and a unique silent auction collection. After dinner, the evening will culminate with an exciting live auction and paddle raise. Keeping in line with NESS's experience-based education, the silent and live auction items will feature a variety of unique experiences for bidders.

The annual benefit gala is an opportunity for the NESS community, supporters, and friends to come together and celebrate NESS's success and ensure NESS can continue its award-winning programming.

NESS's Chairman of the Board of Directors, Bill Follett, commented, "NESS develops so many young people by enriching their lives through ocean adventure education. Watching children gain self-confidence, learn the power of teamwork, and become stewards of our waterways is wonderful to see. Furthermore, to watch their growth carry over to the classroom makes us all proud to support NESS and its positive impact on our community."

Tickets ($125) and a variety of sponsorship opportunities are available online at www.nessf.org/gala. For questions and inquiries, contact Lauren Lyons at 860-245-4472 or lauren@nessf.org.
