Reliance Health recognized as a Top Workplace by The Hartford Courant for 6th year

Norwich, CT – Reliance Health, Inc. has been awarded a 2017 Top Workplaces honor by The Hartford Courant. Reliance Health was recognized as the #2 Top Workplace amongst mid-size businesses in Connecticut, as well as special recognition for Direction. The Top Workplaces lists are based solely on the results of an employee feedback survey administered by WorkplaceDynamics, LLC, a leading research firm that specializes in organizational health and workplace improvement. Several aspects of workplace culture were measured, including Alignment, Execution, and Connection, just to name a few.

“The Top Workplaces award is not a popularity contest. And oftentimes, people assume it’s all about fancy perks and benefits.” says Doug Claffey, CEO of WorkplaceDynamics. “But to be a Top Workplace, organizations must meet our strict standards for organizational health. And who better to ask about work life than the people who live the culture every day—the employees. Time and time again, our research has proven that what’s most important to them is a strong belief in where the organization is headed, how it’s going to get there, and the feeling that everyone is in it together. Claffey adds, “Without this sense of connection, an organization doesn’t have a shot at being named a Top Workplace.”

This is the 6th year Reliance Health has been recognized as a Top Workplace. Chief Executive Officer, David Burnett attributes Reliance Health’s Top Workplace standing to its employees, “With over 250 employees, we are proud to know that our values are reflected not only in the service we provide to our members, but also in the way we treat our staff. I am so impressed by the people who work here.  Daily experiences lead me to believe that we are extraordinarily fortunate to attract and hold good people.”   Chief Operating Officer, Carrie Dyer recognized the significance of this award by saying, “During this time of budget uncertainty and increasing pressures, an event like this reminds us of our worth; of our collective values and goals; and of our love for the people we serve, the work we do, and each other.”
