Reliance Health Wants to Know How You Care For Your Mental Health

Reliance Health, a nonprofit community mental health agency based out of Norwich, is looking for help to identify ways you care for your mental health to honor May is Mental Health Month.

May is Mental Health Month was started 70 years ago by the national organization, Mental Health America, to raise awareness about mental health conditions and the importance of good mental health for everyone. As community leaders in mental health education and advocacy, Reliance Health strives to share the importance of caring for one’s mental health, not just with those they serve, but with the community as a whole. This May, Reliance Health is asking for your help to prompt a community conversation about how we care for our mental health.

Throughout the month of April Reliance Health will be collecting answers to the question, “How do you care for your mental health?”. Responses will be displayed on the windows of Reliance Health offices, social media, and their website to bring attention to the many ways to achieve mental wellness. Responses can come in the form of pictures, stories, or a short statement and should be sent to Nicole Reynolds at nreynolds@reliancehealthinc.org by April 26th. Each person who responds will be entered into a drawing to win a $25 Amazon gift card.

When you or someone you love is dealing with a mental health concern, sometimes it’s a lot to handle. It’s important to remember that mental health is essential to everyone’s overall health and well-being, and mental illnesses are common and treatable. Join the conversation and let Reliance Health know how you care for your mental health.
