Old Saybrook, CT – The Southeastern Connecticut chapter of SCORE, a nonprofit association dedicated to the success of small businesses, will present a free Small Business Workshop on "Online Marketing: What to Say, and How to Say It."

We’ve all heard the saying “Location, Location, Location…”. For online marketing, it’s “Content, Content, Content!”

What you say and the way you say it – including tone, frequency, and time of day – determine how successfully you attract, engage and encourage sharing among your audience members.

This workshop will show you the keys to creating compelling content, as well as time-saving tips, techniques, and even apps to help you craft and share your content in a successful way to achieve your goals. You will learn:
•    How many links create the most engagement
•    How to turn questions into high-open subject lines
•    Tips on using pictures and videos
•    How to re-purpose content across multiple platforms, and more!

You will leave this seminar with the tools and structure to make creating your content fast, easy and effective.

Workshop presenter April Heavens-Woodcock is a Managing Partner and Social Media Strategist who works with small to mid-size companies to help them develop a robust online presence utilizing strategic marketing initiatives. April is an Authorized Local Expert of Constant Contact who presents regularly on email marketing and social media throughout the New England area. She volunteers regularly for the Greater Norwich Chamber of Commerce, SCORE, and Rose City Business Networking International, educating small business in Southeastern Connecticut on effective online marketing tools. She founded the local Biz Blender networking group for the Norwich Chamber, which meets every other month to give business owners an opportunity to speed network with up to 20 other businesses in their community.
