The Arc New London County Celebrates 65 Years at Annual Meeting

Gathering highlights the year's achievements, honors State Rep. Kathleen McCarty, local employers, community heroes
 
The Arc New London County hosts its annual meeting on Tuesday, June 27th, from 6 pm to 8 pm at the Mohegan Park Lakeside Pavilion in Norwich. 
 
Families and people served by the agency, staff, Board members and state and local legislators will acknowledge The Arc NLC's successful micro-enterprise partners: The Edward and Mary Lord Foundation, The Community Foundation of Eastern Connecticut, People’s United Foundation, DEPCOM Power, the Chelsea Groton Foundation, Charter Oak Federal Credit Union, Eastern CT Association of Realtors, and SureBright Cleaners.
 
Also featured: employee achievement awards and Community Service Awards. Community Service recipients include Joseph Orlando, Store Director at ShopRite New London and Sharon Lent, Financial Manager, Five Star Supermarkets. A special Appreciation Award will be given to Rep. Kathleen McCarty of the 38th District for her tireless efforts on behalf of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families in Southeastern Connecticut. The evening will also include a video screening produced and funded by Comcast celebrating The Arc New London County's 65-year mission.
