The Chelsea Groton Foundation Now Accepting Grant Applications Through New Online Portal

GROTON, CT – The Chelsea Groton Foundation will be accepting applications for the spring grant cycle through the Foundation’s NEW online application portal until Friday, April 20, 2018. Local and regional charitable organizations in the areas of Animal Welfare, Arts and Culture, Economic Development, Education, Environment, Health and Human Services, Housing, and Youth Recreation and Activities, should visit www.chelseagroton.com/CGFoundation to access the new online application portal and more details on specific requirements.
 
“Last year, the Foundation provided over $450,000 in grants to 146 worthy organizations, which is more than in any single giving year since the Foundation was formed,” said Michael Rauh, President and CEO of Chelsea Groton Bank. “We’ve always been honored to partner with local non-profits who strive to better our community, and we look forward to supporting even more organizations in more impactful ways this year and in the future.”
 
The new online portal allows applicants to start, save, and complete an application at their own pace, and to check on the status of their request after an application has been submitted.
 
The Foundation accepts grant applications two times per year.  Formed in June 1998 as a Section 501(c)(3) organization, the Foundation has, to date, awarded over $2.6 million in grants to hundreds of organizations located within the Bank’s market area.  Each year, Chelsea Groton Bank and the Chelsea Groton Foundation support more than 250 local organizations through monetary gifts, grants, sponsorships, scholarships and employee volunteerism.
