The Gallery at Three Rivers Presents ''Glitter'' by Roy Tookes

Three Rivers Community College is pleased to announce a solo exhibition by Roy Tookes, an artist and long-time Three Rivers employee. “Glitter” features a multitude of medias as Tookes creates with wood-burning, watercolor, acrylic, and oil and paints on everything from canvas to driftwood to river rocks. The show will run through Tuesday, March 31 in the Gallery at Three Rivers.

This is Tookes’ third and final exhibition at the Gallery at Three Rivers. It coincides with his upcoming retirement from the college system where he has worked for over 20 years in the maintenance department. The Louisiana native’s love of art began at a young age, and he takes great pride in showing his latest pieces to his coworkers. He explains, “I like to share my love of what I do with others. It passes that love and happiness along.”

The Gallery at Three Rivers is located on the second floor above the main entrance. It is free and open to the public Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. “Glitter” will run through Tuesday, March 31.
