UCFS to Host Power of Social Media Community Presentation

Thanks to a grant from the Chamber of Commerce of Eastern CT, UCFS invites parents, youth, professionals, and community members to a presentation about how to use social media responsibly, the dangers of social media, and the role of social media in human trafficking.

This eye-opening event will be presented by Tom Pincince, a social media expert, and Julie Adams, a licensed professional counselor at UCFS who specializes in human trafficking issues. Everyone can benefit from this presentation, including children and teens, parents and families or professionals working with children, teens, and families.

“The Power of Social Media” will occur on Tuesday, December 11, 2018 from 5 to 6:30pm in the Community Room at UCFS’ Edward and Mary Lord Family Health Center at 47 Town Street, Norwich. Please RSVP to Malyna Kettavong at mkettavong@ucfs.org or 860-822-4750 by December 7th if you will be attending.

This program has been approved for 1.5 Continuing Education Credit hours by the National Association of Social Workers in CT and meets the continuing education criteria for CT Social Work licensure renewal.
