DEEP's Boating Division is focused on safety while boating and will be starting a "Positive Ticket Program" in spring 2016.Wear Your Life Jacket - Positive Ticket Program
The division will be accepting coupons and promotional deals from businesses statewide and handing those out to boaters who are wearing a life jacket while underway, as well as taking other noticeable safety precautions.
The Boating Education Assistants at our state boat ramps will be handing these out as well as Police Marine Units that would like to participate.
The program provides positive reinforcement for boaters demonstrating these safety practices, enhanced positive relations between law enforcement and the boating public, and a contribution towards economic development and small business success.
