World Class Sailor Giving Presentation in Stonington

2015's Rolex US Yachtsman of the Year/Olympian Steve Benjamin Comes to Stonington 
 
Stonington, CT – Join New England Science & Sailing Foundation for an evening with 2015's Rolex US Yachtsman of the Year and Olympic Silver medalist, Steve "Benj" Benjamin. Benj has competed at the highest level in international sailing competitions and will share his experiences and life lessons from his journey. 

Benj has spent the past five decades sailing in the front of the fleet. Having sailed in boats of all sizes, he has spent his life sailing around the world in international competitions. He got his start sailing on Long Island Sound out of the Seawanhaka Corinthian Yacht Club in Oyster Bay, NY at the age of nine. Since then, Benj has created an impressive race resume including an Olympic Silver medal, four world championship titles, and five Admiral's Cup victories, among many other achievements.

The event will take place at the La Grua Center (32 Water Street, Stonington, CT) from 6:00 to 8:00pm on Thursday, September 20th. There is no entrance fee, but there is a suggested $5 donation to support NESS's programs.
