About the Occasion: 

After over a year without a permanent home for their central office and employment building, The Light House is proud to unveil its new location on Shaw Street in New London as a vibrant, modern hub for innovation and inclusion.

They've transformed a once-industrial space into a collaborative, welcoming environment that houses the Central Office, Assistive Technology Center, and Employment Services Team. This space reflects the future of The Light House—one rooted in empowerment, independence, and meaningful opportunity for people with disabilities.

The ribbon cutting celebration will be filled with inspiration and community connection.

More About Our Member: 

With a mission to educate and prepare individuals with disabilities for life, The Lighthouse Voc-Ed Center (The Light House) is a nonprofit that serves the needs of individuals with disabilities throughout eastern Connecticut and southern Rhode Island. Divided into three “campuses”, The Light House has a broad range of programming including state-approved private schools, residential and transitional services, and state contracted adult services.
