Come casual or business casual\, and enjoy an easygoing night of music\, conversation\, and connections!🎻 About our Hosts: The Eastern Connecticut Symphony Orchestra (ESCO) began in 1946\, founded by Norwegian immigrant Victor Norman as the New London Civic Orchestra. After teaming up frequently with the Willimantic Community Orchestra\, the two groups officially merged in 1954 to become the Eastern Connecticut Symphony.Victor Norman led the orchestra for 35 years\, during which it grew massively adding more concerts\, expanding its budget\, and eventually becoming a fully professional ensemble. The Eastern Connecticut Symphony Chorus and Youth Orchestra were also launched during this era\, both in 1967\, shaping ECSO into the regional arts institution it is today.Garde Arts Center:  Southeastern Connecticut's non-profit home for the performing arts\, cinema\, and arts education\, the Garde Arts Center was founded in 1985 to save\, restore\, and operate the historic (1926) Garde Theater and Building in the heart of downtown New London.
