SECWAC presents Esam Boraey on The Development of Democracy in Egypt
The Southeastern CT World Affairs Council invites you to an informative presentation on Thursday, February 13, 2020 at Connecticut College for a presentation by Esam Boraey titled, “The Development of Democracy in Egypt” A reception begins at 5:30 p.m., with the presentation starting at 6:00 p.m.
Mr. Boraey will speak about the youth movements in Egypt and the similarities between the struggle for democracy in the Middle East and civil rights movement in the US. He will map out the region and political situation, speaking to the challenges using his experience and story to highlight keys issues there. He will also discuss his move to the US and how he continues to engage his community with the bigger community in which he now lives.
