About Us

Executive Chef and Owner John Giacchi, CPCE and his wife Pat started On The Spot Catering in 2008 propelled by his love of food and bringing people together. Focusing on creating unique and intimate experiences for his guests, using high quality and local ingredients, and perfecting Giacchi Family recipes, On The Spot Catering specializes in creating custom menus, remarkable events, and unforgettable memories. A true family affair, one peek in the kitchen and you will meet our talented Pastry Chef, Sous Chef, Head Cook, Event Director and Manager, all part of the Giacchi Family.

On The Spot Catering has found a new home at the historic Tamarack Lodge in Voluntown, Connecticut. The experienced family catering company will be moving their center of operations to the rustic lodge and glamping resort, and partnering with Tamarack owners John and Valoree Longo on food and beverage service in the restaurant.

Large or small, your business is important to us. Weddings-big and fancy or sweet and simple, Galas, Corporate Outings, Picnics, Farm to Table Dinners, Celebrations of Life, Weekend Retreats or Holiday Parties.
