70 Years of Celebrating Community | COMO’s Annual Village Fair Offers Summer Fun for the Whole Family

The Annual Stonington Village Fair, a regional time-honored tradition presented by the Stonington Community Center (COMO), is in its 70th year and showcases the BEST of what the Stonington community has to offer. Each summer, generations of families and friends, residents and tourists alike, come together to create cherished memories at the quintessential New England festival. The fair takes place at the Stonington Borough Green on Saturday, Aug. 6 from 11am - 4pm and features a fun-filled day of children’s fair games, live music, food trucks, books and sweet bread for sale, handmade art, floral arrangements, and more.

Fairgoers can meet skilled local makers, crafters, and artisans and peruse their work at the Artisan Row. With so many different mediums, there’s something for every art lover, from paintings to jewelry to pottery.  Stonington Village Fair posters created by local artist, Susan Scala will be available for purchase. Each year’s poster features a new scene that captures the spirit of our community. Pre-order your poster at www.thecomo.org/stonington-village-fair.

The COMO is in need of volunteers to assist at the fair. Shifts are available on Saturday, August 6 for set up, during fair hours, and for breakdown. Consider becoming a sponsor and helping to bring this beloved event to the Stonington community. Contact k.adami@thecomo.org for details about becoming a 2022 Village Fair sponsor.

All proceeds of the Annual Stonington Village Fair benefit the Stonington Community Center, a nonprofit organization dedicated to strengthening families and community since 1945. For more information or to register to volunteer at the fair, visit thecomo.org or call the COMO at 860.535.2476.
