Backus to Host Free Community Talk on Heart Disease and Atrial Fibrillation

Norwich, CT – Backus Hospital will host a free community education event on heart disease and atrial fibrillation on Wednesday, Feb. 24 from 6:30-8 p.m. in the Backus Hospital main lobby conference room at 326 Washington Street in Norwich,
 
“Heart Disease and Atrial ­Fibrillation: Are you at risk?” will be presented by John Foley, MD, of Hartford HealthCare Medical Group Cardiology in Willimantic and Norwich and Dr. Steven Zweibel Director, Electrophysiology at Hartford Hospital.
 
The talk will focus on heart disease risk factors, common heart conditions and symptoms, and treatment options for atrial ­ fibrillation.
