L+M Healthcare's New CEO Brings a Community-Minded Approach

Patrick L. Green is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Lawrence + Memorial Healthcare and Executive Vice President of Yale New Haven Health.

L+M Healthcare, a member of the Yale New Haven Health System, includes Lawrence + Memorial Hospital in New London, Connecticut, Westerly Hospital in Westerly, Rhode Island and the Visiting Nurse Association of Southeastern Connecticut. L+M Healthcare also has a comprehensive ambulatory network serving the eastern Connecticut and southern Rhode Island market. Patrick assumed his current role June 5, 2017.

Prior to joining the Yale New Haven Health System, Patrick was the senior executive vice president and chief administrative officer for St. Anthony Hospital in Lakewood, Colorado, where he was responsible for providing overall operational leadership and daily planning for the hospital. In addition to serving as the St. Anthony executive representative in all operational-related initiatives, Patrick was a key member of the MNDOG senior executive team and was charged with the implementation of service line strategies and operating plans to enhance patient care and grow market share across SAH’s primary and secondary markets.

Patrick has over 19 years of well-rounded leadership experience with private not-for-profit health systems and major comprehensive academic health systems demonstrating his skill and expertise to ensure operational integrity while developing a sustainable business model for the organization and his physician partners.

He is known by his colleagues as a results-oriented leader who takes pride in consistent performance and effective stewardship. Ultimately, his approach to leadership comes down to accountability and credibility.

Patrick earned a Master's of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Central Oklahoma and is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives.

He also volunteers his time in the community with various non-profit organizations that focus on improving the health of the community, education and leadership development for today's youth.
