Chamber to Host Transportation Commissioner April 30
 
Waterford, CT The Chamber of Commerce of Eastern CT announced today that James P. Redeker, Commissioner of the CT Department of Transportation, will be the keynote speaker at the Chamber’s next Business Breakfast scheduled for Thursday, April 30, 2015 at Groton Inn & Suites.
 
The April 30 Business Breakfast is titled “Improving Our Transportation System: What Needs to be Done.” It includes a presentation on Governor Dannel P. Malloy’s plans for improving eastern CT’s transportation system. In addition to Mr. Redeker, key members of the CT General Assembly’s Transportation Committee will be on hand to address this essential subject and its impact on eastern Connecticut.
 
“This presentation will provide members and visitors an opportunity to participate in the discussion on this important matter,” said Tony Sheridan, President & CEO of the Chamber of Commerce of Eastern CT. “Everyone can agree that the region’s transportation system needs improvement. It is critically important to hear directly from the Transportation Commissioner what we can expect in terms of upgrades and improvements to our key transportation arteries.”
 
The Business Breakfast runs 7:45 – 9:00 a.m. at Groton Inn and Suites (99 Gold Star Highway in Groton). Admission is $17 for Chamber members and $25 for non-members and includes a full hot breakfast. The Chamber encourages RSVPs in advance to avoid a $5 walk-in fee.
 
Chamber members can share their company’s marketing materials with guests for free at a Shared Member Display Table at the April 30 Business Breakfast. Individual display tables are available for $100 and includes one reservation each to the event.
