Chelsea Groton Bank Accepting Applications for New Rotational Internship Program

Chelsea Groton Bank’s Interns in Banking Rotational Internship Program is designed to provide consistent and valuable work experience for undergraduate students considering professional careers in the financial services industry. Interested applicants are encouraged to apply online at www.chelseagroton.com/careers by Friday, November 6, 2020.

All “Interns in Banking” begin with one full year in retail branch banking. Students will work and gain hands-on experience part-time during the school year, and full-time in the summer. After one year, interns are invited to gain experience in other departments, including Accounting, Human Resources, Lending, Marketing, Technology, Risk & Compliance, Wealth Management and more. Throughout the internship experience, mentorship from bank leadership, networking opportunities and participation in leadership development programs will be made available to students.

“Through our rotational internship program, we’re focused on attracting and developing our future generation of financial service stewards and providing professional development experiences,” shared Anne Wilkinson, SVP, Chief Human Resources Officer at Chelsea Groton Bank. “We recruit interns from a diverse pool of candidates who are currently enrolled in an undergraduate program. We provide them with knowledge and skills that will serve them in a future career either at Chelsea Groton Bank, or elsewhere in the industry.”

Chelsea Groton’s program provides the intern with experiential learning, mentoring and networking opportunities. All interns are paid and may be eligible for academic credit based on the college’s eligibility requirements. Upon successful completion of the internship and graduation from their applicable college, there is the potential of offering permanent employment to the trained and qualified intern.

In order to be eligible for the internship program, candidates must be a student in good standing with their college, maintain a GPA of 3.0 or higher and have a sincere interest in learning more about the banking industry and providing outstanding customer service.
