Chelsea Groton Bank Celebrates Financial Literacy Month with Free Community Seminars
Groton, CT – In honor of Financial Literacy Month this April, Chelsea Groton Bank is producing and sponsoring a number of seminars throughout Eastern Connecticut. Sessions on home-buying, improving credit scores, and identity theft are free and open to the public.
“Chelsea Groton Bank is excited to provide a variety of tools and resources to the community, including classes for Financial Literacy Month,” said Pam Days-Luketich, Community Education Officer at Chelsea Groton Bank. “Our goal is to help people make well-informed financial decisions for themselves and their families.”
First-time and Repeat Homebuyer Seminars
Information will be provided on current options and how to get approved for mortgage financing, recent underwriting requirements, and what products offer down payment assistance or help with costs associated with purchasing a home.
Credit Do's and Dont's
Learn tips on repairing, establishing and maintaining your credit score. Insight on what lenders are looking for when they analyze credit history will also be shared.
Identity Theft
Learn how to recognize the signs that you are a victim of identity theft and how to protect yourself.
