Chelsea Groton Bank to Host Groton Small Business Expo Sept 23

Business management resources and tools, as well as tastes from area eateries, will be shared

Groton, CT – On Friday, September 23, Chelsea Groton Bank will present a Small Business Expo at the Bank’s Groton branch. Current and aspiring small business owners are invited to stop by between 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. to meet with the Bank’s representatives in cash management, business banking, commercial lending and financial planning to learn how to manage business disbursements more efficiently, increase cash flow, finance working capital and equipment, plan for retirement, and more.

Representatives from TransFirst, a merchant service company that offers customized payment processing products and services, will be present to consult with attendees about strategic planning and other challenges small businesses face.
In addition, a variety of local eateries will be represented at the Expo, and will offer complimentary small bites to attendees.

Marielle Winkelman, one of the event’s coordinators and Assistant Branch Manager of Chelsea Groton Bank in Groton said, “Small business owners are tasked with many responsibilities – figuring out finances, marketing and sales strategies, insurance options, and more. We are excited to host this event and be able to provide financial advice and access to other resources, such as the mentors from TransFirst, to the hardworking current and prospective business owners in our community.”
