Chelsea Groton Bank to Host Small Business Expo in New London July 29

Groton, CT – On Wednesday, July 29, Chelsea Groton Bank will present a Small Business Expo at the Bank’s New London branch at One Montauk Avenue. Current and aspiring small business owners are invited to attend to meet with the Bank’s experts in cash management, business banking, commercial lending and financial planning to learn how to manage business disbursements more efficiently, increase cash flow, finance working capital and equipment, plan for retirement, and more.

Representatives from SCORE, a national small business consulting firm with offices in New London County, and TransFirst, a merchant service company that offers customized payment processing products and services, will be present to consult with attendees about strategic planning and other challenges small businesses face.

Joanne Cain, one of the event’s coordinators and Branch Manager of Chelsea Groton Bank in New London said, “Small business owners are tasked with many responsibilities – figuring out finances, marketing and sales strategies, insurance options, and more. We are excited to host this event and be able to provide financial advice and other resources, such as the mentors from SCORE and TransFirst, to the hardworking business owners in our community.”
