Coast Guard Indoor Track Nationally Ranked

NEW LONDON, Conn. – The Coast Guard Academy women's indoor track and field team has cracked the Top 10 in the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCA) Division III national poll as the Bears checked in at number 10.

The Bears, were 15^th in the preseason poll before moving up five spots this week. Coast Guard is one of three New England teams in the Top 10 as Williams is first and MIT is seventh.

Coast Guard opened the season by placing third at the Tufts Invitational before placing fourth again at Tufts in the Branswen Smith-King Invitational. Last week the Bears won their own CGA Winter Invitational.

The Bears are back in action at the Dave Hemery Invitational at Boston University and the Gordon Kelly Invitational at MIT next weekend.
