ConnectiCare Members and Employees Volunteer at the Connecticut Food Bank

On January 12, a large group of ConnectiCare employees and members volunteered at the Connecticut Food Bank to sort 6,450 pounds of donated meat and pack 400 boxes of food for seniors in need in the state. Volunteers gathered as part of ConnectiCare’s Good Deeds initiative, which provides opportunities for members and employees to donate their time and serve local communities while encouraging healthier lifestyles.

Good Deeds with ConnectiCare was established by the health plan in early 2018. Previous projects have included organizing a donation drive with Hands on Hartford, assisting the Community Child Guidance Clinic, Inc. to educate residents in the Manchester area about child and family mental health services, and creating an interview prep guide for Hartford’s youth with Capital City Education.
