CT PTAC Wins Statewide Non-Profit Partnership Award

Last month, the CT Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC) was awarded the Non-Profit Partnership Award at the Annual CT Minority Construction Council (MCC) Awards Dinner. The event hosted prime contractors, local and state politicians, as well as other CT state agencies.
 
The Non-Profit Partnership Award is awarded to a non-profit organization that has worked with the Minority Construction Council in the areas of development and advocacy for minority contractors. CT PTAC, a statewide program located in Groton, provides procurement assistance to businesses that are interested in selling their goods or services to federal, state, or local governments.
 
Procurement Specialist, Frank Dixon, led workshops and trainings with the MCC and was honored to accept the award on behalf of the CT PTAC the evening of Wednesday, May 15. “PTAC has and will continue to work with its strategic partners to ensure that small business in the state of Connecticut receive the best possible technical assistance to grow efficiently and effectively,” Dixon explains. 
 
Other nominees for the award included UCONN, Small Business Development Center (SBDC), Department of Administrative Services (DAS), the Department of Economic Community Development (DECD), and the Department of Transportation (DOT).
