Dime Celebrates 20 Years at Norwich Corporate Headquarters

Norwich, CT – This week marked the 20-year anniversary of the opening of Dime Bank’s corporate office site, located at 290 Salem Turnpike in Norwich.

“A lot has happened in the two decades Dime Bank has been centered here at 290 Salem Turnpike,” said Dime Bank President Nicholas Caplanson. The Bank was founded in Norwich though when we needed to expand our offices 20 years ago, this facility enabled us to keep our roots in Norwich while we grew. This in turn helps us to maintain our community-first philosophy of doing business.”

Customers and employees were treated to celebratory banners, balloons and cupcakes to commemorate the branch’s milestone.

The Bank’s 40,000 square foot corporate headquarters was built by Kokoska Construction Co., Inc., and architect FCI Associates, Inc. When Dime Bank moved into the facility on November 15, 1996, the bank had six branches, roughly $185 million in assets and 67 employees. Today, Dime has 180 employees across 12 branches with assets totaling more than $800 million.
