Eastern CT Symphony Chorus Announces Auditions

The Eastern Connecticut Symphony Chorus (ECSC) is currently seeking singers for the remainder of their 2015-2016 season, featuring Elgar’s Coronation March and Handel's coronation anthem Zadok the Priest on the stage at the Garde Arts Center in April 2016.

Auditions will be held on Wednesday, January 20, 2016, in Leamy Hall on the Coast Guard Academy campus.

The ECSC offers singers a unique opportunity to join a musical enterprise of symphonic proportion in Southeastern Connecticut.  Individuals selected for a position in the chorus will have the fortune of performing Faure’s Requiem at the Cathedral of Saint Patrick in Norwich during the month of March.

Auditions are by appointment only and will begin at 7:00 pm.  Participants are expected to prepare two songs of symphonic, hymns or church music; those auditioning will also be asked to vocalize and sight read.  Participants should bring the piano accompaniment scores of their chosen songs to the audition; an accompanist will be provided.
