Free Valentine's Day Wedding Ceremonies at Olde Mistick Village

Mystic, Conn., Jan. 28, 2022 – Whether you’re looking to tie the knot, or just spend a night out with your beloved, Olde Mistick Village is the perfect place to celebrate Valentine’s Day.

“Getting married at the Olde Mistick Village is just wonderful because it’s quaint, it’s beautiful, and it’s romantic walking around,” said Wedding Officiant Marie Tyler Wiley.

Tyler Wiley, who is also a non-denominational minister, will once again perform free wedding ceremonies for couples on Valentine’s Day, Monday, Feb. 14 at the Meeting House in Olde Mistick Village. She has been performing this special service for almost two decades.

Ceremonies will be performed from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Weddings are first come first served. No registration is required.

All attending will be required to wear a mask before and after the ceremonies.

Let’s face it, planning a wedding can become so stressful that you may forget the whole point of the day - love and ROMANCE!!! What better place to get married than Mystic, Connecticut? Mystic has changed over the years and has become a true traveler’s spot. The restaurants, the beauty, the history, and the waterfront all make Mystic a popular destination.

Couples are required to present an official wedding license from the Town of Stonington. Licenses may be obtained at the Stonington Town Hall, Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 4 p.m. Stonington Town Hall can be reached at (860) 535-5060 and is located at 152 Elm St., Stonington.

Couples wanting to renew their vows are also welcome. Nothing is necessary for a vow renewal. Commitment ceremonies are also available, for those who want to simply show up and have fun.

"On the most romantic day of the year I love to give couples who are ready to take the plunge a special and unique wedding experience," said Tyler Wiley, who has been Voted #1 Wedding Officiant by OfficiantsOnline.com. She has also been featured in Weddingwire.com, TheKnot.com, Martha Stewart Weddings, Modern Bride Magazine & Bride Magazine.

Couples will have one of five ceremonies to choose from for their ceremony. Of course, no wedding would be complete without pictures! Each year a wonderful professional wedding photographer offers their expertise to make the day special. This year photographer Tammy Lynn Foto is doing the honors.
And a very SPECIAL shout out to Joyce Resnikoff of the Olde Mystic Village for always providing the Meeting House for free so these special weddings can be performed for free each Valentine’s Day.

Available in walking distance from the Meeting House are Go Fish Restaurant, Pink Basil, Steak Loft, Bleu Squid Breakfast & Bakery Cafe, Mango’s Wood-Fired Pizza Co., and Jealous Monk. Across the street are Irons, Peking Tokyo, and Rio Salado as well. They have all made it through COVID shutdowns and are fun places to enjoy a celebration.
