Horses Healing Humans Hosting Monthly Tuesday Night Event Series

Stonington, CT – Horses Healing Humans, Inc. is pleased to announce their new Tuesday Night Events Series. Three Tuesdays of every month, Horses Healing Humans will host a different monthly event.  The first Tuesday is the Iron Chef Dinner, which is followed by the Guest Artist on the second Tuesday of every month.  The fourth Tuesday of the month is the Guest Lecturer event.  This series is currently in progress and several events have already taken place.

The Iron Chef Dinner is for foodies with an adventurous side.  Each guest will need to bring one fresh food item – starting with the first letter of their first name.  A different guest chef each month will collaborate with the guests to create a menu and prepare a delicious meal with the foods provided.  Guests will enjoy socializing with one another over drinks and appetizers in the chef’s kitchen at HHH.  Dinner is a sit-down meal in the elegant HHH dining room.  This event is BYOB.  Light appetizers will be provided.  This is a fun and novel way to spend an evening with people you know and great way to meet new people.  This event begins at 6pm on the first Tuesday of every month and ends at 9pm.  The fee is $45, which supports our Equine feed fund, and is fully tax deductible. Limit 10 guests by invitation. You may request an invitation at horseshealinghumansinc@gmail.com.

*** The May 2 dinner will be an extra special event with a Kentucky Derby theme. No food needs to be brought - the Prix-Fixe menu with paired wines is classic Derby Fare starting with a red carpet Promenade, Mint Juleps, and a best Bonnet/ Chapeau contest. Following appetizers there will be live racing (1) before a sumptuous dinner, winners circle awards, and bourbon-laced desserts. The fee for this special party is $75 pp, $50 is tax deductible.  Limit 12 guests by invitation only. You may request an invitation at  horseshealinghumansinc@gmail.com. Classic Derby attire, with sensible shoes. A few spots remaining.

The Guest Artist event features a different artist every month.  The artists will teach participants about their craft and work with them to create their own artistic project to take home with them.  Artists will work in a variety of different media and may incorporate the equine theme or seasonal elements into their projects.  Times for this event will vary depending on the artist and project for that particular month.  Light snacks will be available or guests may bring their own.  This event occurs on the second Tuesday of every month.

On the fourth Tuesday, Horses Healing Humans will present a Guest Lecturer speaking on different topics.  A one-hour lecture and PowerPoint presentation will be followed by a Q& A with the audience.  Topics may include those related to equine therapy or other mental or physical health modalities, veterans issues, aging, or a variety of other relevant topics.  The lectures will begin at 6:30pm and will end at 8:30pm, after the Q&A.  Light fare will be available following the lecture portion of the night.

All of these monthly events take place at Horses Healing Humans in the Main Administrative/ Therapy/ Event Center on the Hill.  An RSVP is required for all events and since space is limited, it is recommended that you respond early.  For more information, contact HHH at horseshealinghumansinc@gmail.com.
